Tip of the week: Taking out Zombies

Zombies—they will stop at nothing to knock you off track and slow you down. If it is one thing that our rival teams, the Dragons and the Scorpions can agree on, it is that these undead pests can prove to be somewhat of a nuisance when they invade the racetrack. So whether you are the most skilled Driver or the newest of newbies, these tips will help you deal with those pestering Zombies!

EMDZombies

You can eliminate Zombies with powerful attacks, quick attacks, or just by running them over—whatever your style may be.

Powerful attacks have a big blast radius that packs a hefty punch to damage Zombies. Use this attack to break up larger groups of Zombies or to take down bigger Zombie foes. Is there a Zombie mob blocking your way? No problem—you can clear your way through! Just be careful. Since this attack involves less ammo and has a longer reloading time, accuracy is key.

A Quick attack does exactly what its name involves—it quickly fires ammo to keep our enemy Zombies back. This attack may deal less damage on the enemy, but these weapons hold more ammo, so missing a target or two will not cost you. Be sure to keep moving when you attempt to clear out a large horde. Since you will be shelling out less damage, you will want to make a quick escape if you become surrounded.

Finally, you can live life on the edge and wield your vehicle as weapon! Simply push the pedal to the metal and mow down Zombies by running them over. It may take a little longer to power through a group of Zombies, but you will be able to make a quick getaway if you need to and it is simply fun!

Now you are prepared to survive a Zombie attack. Keep up your speed and stay on the move. Get out there and keep that Zombie infestation under control.

Wrench’s Facts: License to Drive

Every driver that steps behind the wheel of a racing machine to hit the road will always have one thing in common. They have all earned a license to drive! While skill, practice, and responsibility factor into learning to drive, the license itself is a form of identification that provides your basic information to  others on the road. The Evolution of the Automobile

With all the advancements and custom cool features that you’re able to add to your Eat My Dust car, how much do you actually know about the evolution of the automobile from its original inception as a steam powered vehicle in the late 1700s? Before you hop behind the wheel and speed on over to the Racing circuit to compete in your next race, take some time to read through this brief history of the earliest automobiles!

First Mercedes car ever! Ever!

The modern gas fueled car that you now today did not really make its way onto the scene until the early 1800s with many citing 1886 as the year of the first modern car. It was in this year that two of the major players in the race to create the first car, Karl Friedrich Benz and Gottlieb Daimler filed their patents on their transportation vehicles. Cars did not become mass market items until the early 1900s, as the new industrial era enabled automobile icons like Henry Ford to bring cars from the aristocratic elite to the larger market in the United States.

Car Maintenance: Plan your Next Pit Stop!

While making their rounds around the track, even professional drivers need to take some time to pull off the speedway for a quick pit stop. Before your next big race, follow their example and head directly to the Mechanic’s shop to make sure that your custom cool racing machine has all that it needs to make you the first driver across that checkered finish line.

MechShop

In real world racing, pits stops are quick stops that drivers make during a race to meet with their crew to make any necessary adjustments to their car from the wear and tear of the track. Pit crews are trained to move at unrivaled speeds for refueling purposes, new tires, repairs, or any type of mechanical adjustments that a car and driver might need. The speed of a pit crew isn’t taken lightly eight. Often, crews do practice drills to maximize efficiency and cut down on the time needed to complete their tasks.
