Wrench’s Facts: Dragons versus Scorpions

Do you know what are the special characteristics of each Eat My Dust team? Regardless of the team that you have already chosen, it is important to learn about your enemies  so that you can find loopholes that can help you beat the opposing team and win a race or a battle against the zombies.

EMD Teams

Dragons

The drivers on this team are known for their fierceness and strength. They are courageous and unafraid to go head-to-head with their enemies. They never back out of a race or battle. They are known for their legendary skills and techniques at racing, dusting enemies, and destroying zombies.

Scorpions

These drivers are known for their intellect and the element of surprise. They are cunning and crafty, but extremely loyal to their teammates and the team’s success. This team uses their brains instead of their brawls to get ahead, and they never refuse the chance to sneak up on an enemy and dust them by surprise!

The Great Debate: Power v. Speed

One of the major conundrums all Racers must face is what kind of weapons would make their car the most dangerous and powerful car in all of Eat My Dust, a car that would help either the Dragons or the Scorpions win once and for all. There is a debate between the power of the weapon versus the speed the weapon can repeatedly fire.

Armory

A powerful weapon, such as one that inflicts 50 damage, is a weapon that does not require as much ammo and can dispatch distance enemies with ease. The best weapon is the weapon that you only have to fire once, as it has been said. However, most of these powerful weapons have a trade-off: it can take one to two seconds for the weapon to cool down before the next shot. During that time, an enemy Racer or one of the Zombies can attack your car and kill the Racer while they are wasting precious battle seconds for their weapon to cool down. While the best kind of weapon is the one you only have to fire once, that does not always work if the Racer does not even have a chance to fire the weapon.

On the other side of things is the speedy weapon, one that can partake in rapid fire. With cool down times half of what the more powerful weapons have, Racers can launch a full-out attack on enemies and can win before the enemy even has a chance to wait for their powerful weapon to reload. It also gives more flexibility to the Racer if they happen to miss their target. However, a speedy weapon’s use is also contingent on a large stash of ammo; while a Racer may overwhelm their enemy with the rapidity of fire, it also costs a lot more coins to keep the ammo stocked and ready.

Of course, the speed versus power debate can be resolved by buying a higher tier weapon, such as the Tier 4 Shark Missile or a Tier 3 Lightning Gun, which can inflict both 50 damage and have a reload time of only half of a second. Of course, these higher power weapons can only be bought with a higher rank or with Turbo Bucks, so be sure to keep playing Eat My Dust.

Barring a super-powered high-tier weapon, which kind of weapon do you prefer: the powerful weapon or the speedy weapon?

Get Ready to Capture the Flag!

Your team will always have your back in Eat My Dust, but from time to time you’ll have to strike out on your own to climb up the ranks! And soon you’ll be able to see if you have what it takes to put aside your differences with those rival racers and play a round of Capture the Flag.

When the game arrives, you and your friends will be split up on two teams. To keep things interesting, these teams will be picked at random so dragons could end up working alongside scorpions and scorpions with dragons. Now, for some of you, the biggest challenge might just be getting along, but in this game you’ve got to be able to do anything to capture that flag!

When the wheels start rolling, each of the teams will have a home base where their flag is flown. And the end goal is simple, find the other team’s flag and return it to your base. You’ll even have a few opportunities to pick up some extra ammo as the battle rages on, so keep an eye out for some sweet pick ups!

Before all is said and done, you’ll need to fight against the odds to win top honors. After all, there’s always a chance for the flag to be stolen or dropped before you make back to your side of the arena. To end the game with a win, your team will need to keep procession for at least a minute! Think you’re up for the challenge? Then head over to Eat My Dust later this week to play Capture the Flag! In the end, you might have something to brag about.

War of the Weapons!

As if the rivalry between the Dragons and Scorpions could get any more intense, we’ve decided to add in some new team weapons to the mix! Whether you’re representing the Dragons or the Scorpions, these incredible items are exclusive to your team and your team only. That way you’ll always have a little edge up on the competition around Eat My Dust.

Which side are you on, racer?

With Dragons being the ferocious fire breathers that they are, it only made sense to equip their drivers with a fun new flame thrower. The heat from this wild weapon can be hard to handle, so take our advice and do your best to remain out of shooting range! But never fear, Scorpions… we’ve got you covered too! With the Poison Dart Gun by your side, your stinger will pierce past any obstacle that stands in your way.

And if you ask us, these weapons are bound to give you something to brag about, so hit the road and drive straight for the Armory! After a few test shots, we want to know what you think of this latest EMD update.
