3…2…1…SLED!

The snow is piling up in parts of the world and there are so many things you can do: make a snow angel, have a snow ball fight, and even go sledding. Have you ever gone sledding before?

To begin sledding, you will need:

  • A sled
  • A snowy hill
  • Warm clothes
  • A parent/guardian or a friend

Sit on a sled at the top of a snowy hill and hold on tight. Challenge your friends to a sledding race and crown the winner: Sled Racing Champion.

Although sleds are now used to race and have fun while sliding down those snowy slopes, in the past sleds were used by Native Americans to survive. Did you know that today’s sled actually originated in Canada and were originally known as “toboggans?” Snow sleds at this time, and in this region, were the best way to move heavy things. Around the 1800s, snow sleds began carrying people and soon enough, it became the fun and fast winter activity that we know today.

If you want to play in the snow but want to stay warm, you can also race your friends at the Eat My Dust snow-themed race tracks like Snowy Cliffs. Beat out the rest by challenging other racers on these awesome tracks this winter season.

So, what are you waiting for? Find a friend and start the race—hold on tight…get ready…set…go!
